Frequently Asked Questions

When will my order ship?

We aim to dispatch orders within 1-4 business days.

All orders are shipped using Australia Post, estimated shipping times can be found in our shipping policyPlease note these are Australia Post estimated times and not guaranteed delivery times.

Can I place an order to pick up at a Market?

Absolutely, just contact us and we would be happy to arrange that for you!

How long will my toy last?

The longevity of your cat toy really depends on many factors such as, how often it’s played with and how energetically your cat plays.

No toy is indestructible to mischievous paws/jaws, they should be checked regularly for wear and tear and removed at the first signs of damage.

All toys are made as fresh as possible but the effectiveness of catnip/valerian will naturally decline over time.

What type of toy should I choose?

Every cat has their own play styles but as a general guide:

  • Kicker toys - for felines that love to bunny kick.
  • Pillow toys - for the face rubbers and the more mellow felines.
  • Pyramid toys - due to their smaller size, these toys are perfect for felines that enjoy batting, chasing, or carrying their toys around.

Are your toys refillable?

Unfortunately due to hygiene reasons our toys are not refillable, as they cannot be washed.

Can I let my dog and/or child play with the toys?

No. Under no circumstances should the toys be given to dogs, children or other animals. Our toys are designed for cats only and, as with any toys, should be played with under human supervision. No toys are indestructible to mischievous paws/jaws, they should be checked regularly for wear and tear and removed at the first signs of damage.

Which should I try first catnip or valerian?

I always recommend trying catnip first, if you find your cat doesn't react valerian is another option. Of course there are some cats that react to both and some that don't react to either. A bit of trial and error may be required, our pyramid toys are perfect for this purpose!

Trying catnip (or valerian) for the first time?

Monitoring your cat when introducing them to catnip (or valerian) is crucial to ensure they have a safe and enjoyable experience.

  • observe how your cat reacts, as not all cats are affected in the same way and some may have adverse reactions.
  • ensure your cat doesn't ingest too much, which can cause vomiting or diarrhoea.
  • monitor your cat's behaviour and prevent any destructive or harmful actions to themselves or others while they are under the influence.

What is valerian and what does it smell like?

Valerian (Valeriana officinalis) is also a flowering herb but unlike catnip (where the leaves and stems are used) it is the root of the valerian plant that is attractive to some cats.

Not all cats carry the catnip gene so some people find valerian to be a good alternative, there are also some cats that don’t react to either!

The smell is what us humans would describe as pungent, think strong cheese or damp socks, cats are strange creatures! If you find the smell unpleasant the toys can be kept in an airtight container when not being played with.
